K-State Family Day - Saturday, September 7th
Join your student Saturday, Sept. 7, for the 85th annual Family Day. Families can enjoy time together on campus in conjunction with the football game against Louisiana Lafayette. Events, many of which are FREE, run all day Saturday and showcase colleges, departments and student activities. Families can enjoy campus tours, discounted admission to the insect zoo, activities in the library, and family-friendly films, among many other activities.
Visitors can also register for the Family Time in Cat Town pre-game tailgate which includes a meal, door prizes and the chance to win $2,000 towards your student's tuition. Earlier in the day, the Legacy Pinning Ceremony will be held to recognize generations of K-Staters by allowing family members and current K-State students to unite over a shared symbol of honor during a small ceremony and brunch.
We look forward to seeing everyone on campus next weekend!
Wildcat Football in the newly updated Bill Snyder Family Stadium
The first football game of the year is upon us, and we expect the stadium to be full and finished with renovations. Check out the links below to see where the stadium construction started and how far it has come and to plan out game days with an up to date schedule. Remember, the first game of the year is on Friday, August 30th.
Keeping the peace in the residence halls
One major change that college presents is students' living situations. Whether students join a Greek house, live in a residence hall or get an apartment off campus, most will be living with at least one roommate. Living with a stranger, your best friend, or an acquaintance can be challenging, but it doesn't have to be impossible or stressful.
On-campus employment opportunities for students
K-State employs thousands of students in various departments across campus. Whether your student is interested in helping out with tuition fees or just looking for a bit of spending money, there are many opportunities for employment on and off campus. Career and Employment Services can help students find the right job with flexible hours to fit their schedule.
