K-STATE PROUD + DIGITAL ETHNOGRAPY = STUDENTS HELPING STUDENTS
When Michael Wesch, assistant professor of sociology, anthropology, and social work, was asked to be honorary co-chair for the K-State Proud campaign for student scholarships, he wanted to combine his digital storytelling assignment with a way to show that the campaign is about more than t-shirts. One hundred students pooled their time and money and came together for a Flash Mob of Kindness to promote this year’s campaign.

Make your move at K-state's open house
Mark your calendar so you won't miss the academic exhibits, free food, and entertainment on Saturday, April 24. You don't need reservations to join your K-State student, so just show up. And bring the whole family. You can top off the day with spring football game.
If you plan to attend K-State’s Open House, why not volunteer to represent the Parents and Family Association at an information table? It’s a great time to meet other parents, and it’s a good excuse to visit your student. Make a full day of it, with entertainment, academic exhibits, food, the Marching Cobras, and other activities for all ages. And top off the day with the spring football game.
