Signs your student may be partying too much
When you envision college parties do you see frat boys in togas performing outrageous stunts? While the party scene is hard to avoid in college, here are some warning signs that students are taking it too far:
• Criticism of their drinking annoys them.
• They drink more and more often than they used to.
• Alcohol use is affecting their interpersonal relationships.
• Alcohol use is jeopardizing their academic performance.
• They try to hide their alcohol use.
• They have financial difficulty because of their alcohol use.
• Their friends change unexpectedly.
Noticing warning signs in your student is the key step to getting help. K-State offers several resources for students to get help if they believe they have a problem.
The director of the Alcohol and Other Drug Education Service is the primary person on the K-State campus to assist you and your student in obtaining more information.
