K-State Research & Extension

We are a partnership between Kansas State University and federal, state, and county government, with offices in every Kansas county. We conduct research through Kansas that is then shared by Extension agents and others on our Web sites and through numerous conferences, workshops, field days, publications, newsletters and more.

National Institute for Strategic Technology Acquisition and Commercialization (NISTAC)

NISTAC's mission is to create and sustain a formal network that will support technology advancement, technology transfer, education and scientific research. The objective is to help strengthen regional economies by facilitating the commercialization of new technologies, through the promotion of related research and education.

Biosecurity & Research Institute

The Biosecurity Research Institute at Pat Roberts Hall is a unique biocontainment research and training facility supporting comprehensive farm-to-fork infectious disease research programs that address threats to plant, animal, and human health.

NBAF in Kansas

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) issued a call for proposals to research and develop solutions to some of the world's most complex human and animal diseases. Kansas answered the call and Kansas State University in Manhattan is now one of five finalists for this important federal facility.

PharmCATS

PharmCATS was established to provide high volume, rapid throughput bioanalytical services focused on the identification and quantification of exogenous compounds such as drugs and toxins in biological matrices.

Midwest Veterinary Specialty Hospital

MidwestVET is a referral only veterinary specialty hospital focused on providing the highest quality care to pets with advanced medical and surgical needs. It is an affiliate program of the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital at Kansas State University.

National Agricultural Biosecurity Center

The National Agricultural Biosecurity Center (NABC) was established by Kansas State University (KSU) to coordinate interdisciplinary activities focused on protecting America's agricultural infrastructure and economy from endemic and emerging biological threats.

International Grains Program

The Kansas State University International Grains Program is designed to educate foreign business leaders and government officials about U.S. grains and oilseeds through technical-training and assistance programs in storage and handling, milling, marketing and processing.
