Peter Taylor
Chairman

Peter Taylor is currently a senior in the College of Business majoring in Human Resource Management, Marketing and a Pre-Law option. He will be serving his fourth year as a member of the SGA Judicial Branch. He was approved, unanimously, by the Student Senate to serve as Chair of the Student Review Board on April 30, 2009. Previously he served as Chancellor of Student Tribunal since from 2008 - 2009, as Chair for the Attorney General Nominee Interview Committee in the spring of 2009, and as a member of the Elections Review Committee for spring 2007, and 2009. Furthermore, Peter is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, Alumnus of FarmHouse Fraternity, and is an American Red Cross Certified Lifeguard Instructor. Peter plans on graduating in May of 2010, and then attending Law School..

Jaclyn DeVries
Associate Justice

Jaclyn Devries is a junior at Kansas State University with a major in Advertising and a minor in Leadership Studies. She will be serving her first year as Associate Justice on the Student Review Board for 2009-2010 term of office. She was approved unanimously by the Student Senate on April 30, 2009. Jaclyn, from Syracuse, KS is an active member of her sorority, serving as the Alumnae Relations Chair. She also is involved in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program in the Riley County area. Jaclyn plans to work in an advertising agency after graduation from Kansas State.

Shawn Dunbar
Associate Justice

Shawn Dunbar is currently a junior at Kansas State University with a major in Political Science and Pre-Law. He will be serving his first year as Associate Justice of the Student Review Board for the 2009 – 2010 term of office. He was approved unanimously by the Student Senate on April 30, 2009. Outside of the SGA Judicial Branch, Shawn served in the military, including one year of service in Iraq. Upon returning from Iraq, Shawn had the privilege of working in the JAG office at Fort Riley, KS. Shawn is currently the Vice President for the KSU College Republicans and Treasurer of the KSU Pre-Law Club. Shawn plans to attend law school after graduation from Kansas State.

Dustin Nelson
Associate Justice

Dustin Nelson is a senior at Kansas State University double majoring in Public Health Nutrition and Dietetics. He is really excited to be involved with the SGA as this is his first year in doing so. For the 2009-2010 term he will be serving as an Associate Justice of the Student Review Board. Besides being a member of SGA, Dustin is also involved with the state government. In 2006, Dustin was appointed by former Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius to be a member of the Kansas Advisory Group on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. The purpose of this group is to review juvenile justice policy and to advise policy makers on issues affecting the juvenile justice system. Dustin will graduate from K-State in May 2010.

David Starshak
Associate Justice

David Starshak is a junior at K-State and is majoring in Political Science and Pre-Law with a minor in Leadership Studies. For the 2009 - 2010 term, David will serve as an Associate Justice on the Student Review Board. This is his first year working with SGA and he is looking forward to being a part of a long tradition of student government here at K-State. While at K-State, David has served as both a floor vice president and president in Marlatt Hall and has been a member of NRHH. Currently, he is the president of K-State’s club Water Polo team and is a member of the K-State Mock Trial team. David plans to attend law school upon graduation in May 2011.

Duties of Student Review Board

Student Review Board hears cases involving violations of the Conduct Code occurring on campus or at off-campus university sponsored events.

Student Review Board in composed of one faculty member selected by Faculty Senate and five students appointed by the Student Body President, one being designated as Chair, as follows:

  • One off-campus student unaffiliated with an organized living group.
  • One student from a Fraternity or Sorority which is a member of Interfraternity Council, Panhellenic Council or Black Panhellenic Council.
  • One student from the KSU Association of Residence Halls (KSUARH).
  • Two at-large students.
