Pink and Purple Polyester Party
Help raise funds for cancer research while getting your groove on. Start your Open House festivities Friday, April 10, by attending K-State's Johnson Cancer Research Center's annual fundraiser. Bell-bottom pants and platform shoes highly encouraged! Visit cancer.k-state.edu/newsevents/polyester to purchase tickets or learn more. 

Community Powwow
While enjoying the open house festivities, join K-State and the Manhattan community at a the K-State Alumni Powwow at Ahearn Fieldhouse. Watch gourd dancing from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by the grand entry at 1 p.m. when leaders, visiting royalty and dancers will officially open the powwow. Exhibitions and community participation dances will take place all afternoon. 

Other powwow events will be taking place throughout the weekend. At 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 10, the public is invited to Powwow 101 to learn about the history and structure of a Native American powwow, presented by the the powwow director, Errol Brown Eyes. Join the celebration in the Union Courtyard at the K-State Student Union.
