International Program Support assists university faculty, departments, colleges and other units in their efforts to internationalize the campus. Falling broadly under this purview are: sponsored student programs, international agreements and linkages, faculty development programs, outreach and curriculum development. We work with units across campus, providing guidance and support but do not directly administer what other units develop and create. The main role, as part of the overall mission of the Office of International Programs, is to provide an all-university nodal point for coordination and communication across campus.

Barry H. Michie (Emeritus from January 2012) has been the Director.  He came from the faculty (Anthropology) and had been with the Office of International Programs since 1992 when the office first opened. He first developed the Study Abroad Program and exchanges with counterpart universities and since 2003 has been the director of the curent effort working with faculty to: develop agreements for faculty, student, research objectives; outreach to regional schools; grant writing; administering sponsored student programs; and in the past few years spearheading the creation of an all university South Asian Studies program.

The credo is to develop initiatives that have faculty support.
