International Admissions and Recruiting

 Scholarships available through K-State:

International Student and Scholar Services has a list of scholarships for enrolled students here.

The Alumni Association for Kansas State University offers 2 scholarships:

- The International Student Scholarship is open to enrolled students only. For details and how to apply, go here

- The Legacy Scholarship is open to new freshmen and enrolled students. Apply if you have a parent, step-parent, grandparent, or legal guardian who graduated from Kansas State. Go here for more information.

Some departments offer scholarships that are open to international students. These scholarships are mostly for majors in those departments who are currently enrolled at K-State. However, some departments also offer scholarships to new freshmen. Check with your department for more information. To apply, go hereACT or SAT scores may be required for departmental scholarships. The application will also ask for a U.S. Social Security Number. If you do not have a U.S. Social Security Number, you may enter all “9s” to be considered for scholarships. The priority deadline for scholarships may be November 1st or February 1st.

For citizens of Kazakhstan: the Kent and Janet McKinney scholarship is available for students in undergraduate and non-degree programs (such as ELP). The deadline to apply is April 1. Please contact Anna McCullough (atmccull@ksu.edu) for more information.

The Global Diversity Scholarship is a merit-based scholarship, open to new undergraduate applicants (both new freshmen and new transfer students). It is a one-time, non-renewable award of $2,000. Please contact Anna McCullough (atmccull@ksu.edu) for more information and application guidelines.

The K-State International Admissions Merit Scholarship is a merit-based award, open to new freshmen undergraduate applicants. It is a one-time, non-renewable award of $3,000. Students will be automatically considered if they meet eligibility guidelines; no separate application is required. Please contact Kristin Oberheide (keokeo@ksu.edu) for more information.
