My Work:
I love discovering commonalities and differences in perspectives and experiences of people I work with, both colleagues and students. Also, I am into nerdy stuff like policy, process, and assessment.

My Education:
I graduated from K-State in 2002 with a Bachelor's degree in English Literature and I will be finishing my Master's at K-State in College Student Development-Administration in May 2015.

My Hometown:
Phillipsburg, KS - Phillipsburg is a small town in northwest Kansas.

My Hobbies:
I love reading, watching movies and hanging out with my family. I have two sons, named Noah and Jude, and a yellow Labrador named Seamus :)

My K-State Story:
I graduated from high school in Phillipsburg and chose to come to K-State after that. One fun fact, more than a dozen of my family members have attended K-State! I even met my husband, Bryan, at K-State and we were married here in Manhattan in 2003. I worked in the Human Resources department as a student worker and then started working in International Programs right after graduation. I worked in the main office of International Programs before being offered the opportunity to move into the International Admissions and Recruiting office, which was a great move!

My Work:
When I was in college, I was not sure what kind of career I wanted to have. I stumbled into student services and international education after graduation and was lucky to discover where I wanted to be! I enjoy not only being able to share my love for K-State, but also having the chance to help students get a little bit closer to figuring out where they want to be as well.

My Education:
I graduated from K-State in 2011 with my Bachelor’s Degree. My major was English.

My Hometown:
Manhattan, KS - I have lived in Manhattan for most of my life, but my extended family is spread across the world. I have family members who are currently living in England, Singapore, the Philippines, and Cameroon.

My Hobbies:
I enjoy traveling, and I have almost visited all 50 states! I also enjoy playing sports and reading. On the weekends, I usually take a hike with my husband, Adam, and Penny, our dog.

My K-State Story:
I graduated from a very small high school in Kansas. There were only 5 people in my graduating class! When I first came to K-State, I did not know very many people here, but I made new friends very quickly. K-State is ranked as one of the top Universities in the US for quality of life and happiest students, and I experienced this to be true first hand as a K-State student. I worked in the K-State Writing Center as an English tutor before I joined the International Admissions and Recruiting Office in 2013.

My Work:
I get to meet interesting people from all over the world. While I enjoy chatting with people over the phone or e-mail, I enjoy meeting with students who are visiting the campus most! I like to assist students in making informed decisions about their future goals!

My Education:

My Hometown:
I’m a proud native Kansan! I consider Topeka and Auburn to be my hometowns, but I claim ancestral rights to Arma as well.

My Hobbies:
Traveling is my first and greatest love in life, and I’m so lucky that it is an integral part of my job as an international recruiter! As a history nerd too, I love to volunteer with local history organizations and do historical research. I also play tennis, read, hike, and dote on my two cats.

My K-State Story:
Growing up in rural Kansas, I had dreams of going to vet school at K-State, and attended K-State Open House events regularly. But my interests took me down a different path, and I am now thrilled to be part of K-State in a different way! The strong sense of community, the friendliness of the people, and the beauty of the campus and area are unique; it’s a rare accomplishment that an institution of such academic excellence (among the top 75 public universities) can also be #7 in the country for happiest students! I’m so proud to be part of K-State, and look forward to contributing to its tradition!

My Work:
Learning about other cultures and new perspectives is very important in a globalized world. As an international student recruiter, my job is just one part of that process. I love helping new students discover K-State, because as much as they learn from being here, K-State learns and benefits just as much. Helping make those connections is the best part of my job!

My Education:
I am currently a second year undergraduate at K-State and am still undecided in what I want to major in. However, I do have a secondary major in International Studies and a minor in South Asian Studies.

My Hometown:
I was an Army brat growing up so I moved around a lot. But I moved to southeast Kansas when I was in middle school to a small town called Mound City.

My Hobbies:
I enjoy eating fried rice, reading books, amateur charcoal drawing, and playing with puppies. I’ve also just recently decided to start plant-caretaking.

My K-State Story:
I came to K-State because I liked the “homey” feeling the campus offered while still in a big city (compared to where I grew up). However, I decided last minute—May of my senior year—that K-State was where I wanted to call home for the next four (maybe five) years! I came here because through The National FFA Organization, I had met a lot of incredible individuals who were coming to K-State and I decided those were the people I wanted to surround myself with. I have become involved in Greek life, a campus ministry, and a couple of clubs that have led me to meet other amazing people and I have enjoyed every minute of my K-State journey thus far!

My Work:
I assist our office by doing daily tasks that keeps our office running and by taking on any projects where my help is needed! I enjoy being able to play a part in helping other students find their home-away-from-home and a place where they can prosper! I also like working in a fun environment with fun co-workers!

I’m currently a third year student with a Psychology Major, an International Studies Secondary Major and a Spanish Minor.

My Hometown:
I was born in Georgia but I was a military child and moved around a lot so I don’t have a specific place I call home. I loved almost every place I moved to so each place still has a small piece of my heart.

My Hobbies:
I really like to read, volunteer and watch foreign television shows. I’ve really been more into Korean and Taiwanese shows lately. I also really love listening to music. I like all kinds of music and enjoy finding new songs from all around the world.

My K-State Story:
I moved to Kansas when my parents got stationed in Fort Riley and that’s when I first heard of K-state. Since I graduated from high school here in Kansas and wanted to become a veterinarian, K-State was the perfect place for me to come to. Even after changing my major, after being here for a few years, I love how nice everybody is, the atmosphere and just KSU in general!

My Work:
I make sure that international students have everything they need to be admitted to K-State. I also go to international events around campus to meet international students and share great experiences with them.
