Hospitality CommitteeActivitiesAn event the hospitality committee members have participated in yearly has been providing cookies during the August orientation for international students at International Student and Scholar Services. Also two students in Baking Science from Brazil were invited for dinner with one of the staff at Houlihans and one of the students was treated to sailing on Tuttle Creek Lake. Four members each hosted two or three members of a musical group from Costa Rica for dinner in their homes. One member and her husband invited a visitor from Afghanistan to their home for several meals, took him shopping, to the lake and sightseeing. Among the present members on the hospitality committee Spanish, French and German are spoken, so that is a plus, and the Spanish was especially useful when the men from Costa Rica were here. Responsibilities1. The hospitality committee will coordinate refreshments, as needed, for Friends of International Programs' sponsored events.
