Our pool of international participants is limited to whichever students choose to join the program. K-State’s international community is more heavily populated with students from Asia and the Middle East than European or Spanish-speaking countries. We will try to meet specific requests, but may not be able to match you with the language/region you prefer (ie: German, Spanish, Czech, Australia).
If you want us to hold your form until a partner with your specific
preferences signs up, please indicate this under the “Additional
Comments” section on the sign-up form (meaning: if there are no
Spanish partners available, you do not want a partner). If you say you
would “like a French speaker” or simply put “French”
under “Languages” on the form, we will assume that if no
French speakers are available, you will accept a partner from a different
part of the world.
Please make it clear if you are *only* looking for a specific language
partner. We are willing to hold your form until such a partner becomes
available, but there is no guarantee that such a student will sign-up
during the semester. You will be given the opportunity to remove your
name or stay on the waiting list at the end of each semester.
