ABOUT INTERNATIONAL BUDDIES
International Buddies is a program designed to assist incoming international students with their transition to Manhattan and Kansas. It gives participants:
- an opportunity to learn about other languages and cultures
- an opportunity to improve English-speaking skills
- an easy way to meet others and make lasting friendships
Who is this program for?
International students and family members and local K-State students and community members
How much does it cost?
Nothing! International Buddies is free.
What are the program requirements?
You must be willing to meet with your partner at least one hour per week. Also, you must be able to be part of the program for one semester.
Am I too old?
No! Our participants include undergrads, graduates, PhD candidates, visiting scholars and spouses. We welcome all volunteers, and will try to find you a partner of a similar age.
