Valerie York joined the Office of Educational Innovation and Evaluation
(OEIE) in May 2008. In her role as evaluator, she is involved in
projects at the university and state-wide levels. She has experience
in survey development and administration, quantitative and qualitative
methodology and data analysis, and the presentation and publication of
findings. She is involved in evaluation projects for ADVANCE, CORES, Pathways to
Public Health, the Infinite Math Project, K-State STEP, and K-State
School of Leadership Studies.
Dr. York received her Ph.D. in Social Psychology from Kansas State
University. She also has an M.S. in Psychology from Kansas State
University and a B.A. in Psychology from Simpson College in Indianola,
Iowa. Her research interests include persuasion and health promotion,
and more specifically focus on the development and evaluation of
health-related interventions.
