Christa Smith joined the Office of Educational Innovation and Evaluation (OEIE) at Kansas State University (KSU) as an evaluator in January 2005. Christa interests in program evaluation are concentrated in the areas of survey development, online survey administration, and quantitative research methods. She serves as the principal evaluator for the KSU College of Education Program Assessments, K-State STEP: Increasing the Number and Diversity of Students Graduating in STEM Fields at Kansas State University, and WaterLINK projects.

Christa has a Bachelor of Science and a Masters of Arts in Sociology, both from Kansas State University. Her research areas include social inequality, social stratification, and the sociology of education.
