The emphasis of Counseling Services is to provide intervention in a student's life that may assist in decision making, skill building, or mental health support. The overriding goal for all students is to help them maintain successful academic progress. Counseling Services works to address currently registered students' needs at a variety of levels of contact, from online resources to individual one-on-one attention.
We also offer consultation services to the Kansas State University community on mental health concerns. Another campus resource that is helpful for parents concerned about their student's academic success is the Office of Student Life.
Counseling Services provides services in an atmosphere welcoming diversity in culture, in sexual orientation, religion, and other factors of difference and is a member of the SAFE ZONE on campus. Our overall goal is to make this a place where you will feel safe to talk about personal concerns.
Students and parents are encouraged to visit our website for more information (including clients' rights and limitation to confidentiality). We can be reached at 785-532-6927, counsel@ksu.edu, or by visiting our office on the 2nd floor of the English/Counseling Services Building.
