Union Program Council
Who are we?
The Union Program Council (UPC) has been part of the K-State Student Union since 1956. UPC continues to be a leader among student organizations, providing more than 180 events each year.
What's our purpose?
UPC committees plan events, film screenings, art exhibits, lectures, major concerts, contests, carnivals, and live music. UPC’s goal is to satisfy the educational and entertainment needs of our diverse student body. UPC also provides students with many opportunities and experiences to practice creativity and leadership development through programming.
Want to get involved?
UPC meets every other Tuesday at 5:30 pm in the Union Station on the ground floor of the K-State Student Union. Join us as a committee member by simply coming to the meetings and volunteering. Committee Members assist the Co-Chairs with planning and executing events. Committee Co-Chairs are traditionally selected during the spring semester or when there is a vacancy. yoUr Participation Counts (yoUrPC) is a way to reward UPC members for their commitment and service to UPC. yoUrPC members earn points throughout the year by attending UPC meetings and volunteering at UPC events. Prizes are given as members accumulate points.
Why should you get involved?
UPC is a great way to gain leadership skills, meet new friends, and get involved on campus. UPC gives you the opportunity to meet with the entertainers brought to campus and assist with the behind-the-scenes operations. UPC Co-Chairs and Committee Members receive varius perks throughout the year.
