Office of Sustainability
The Office of Sustainability works with students & administration, faculty, and staff to further develop a more responsible, unified and organized campus community that responds to natural resource concerns in a socially and financially responsible way.
A key piece of the Office's objectives is the engagement of students on campus. The Office of Sustainability prides itself on its communication and acknowledgment of the student voice on campus.
The Office of Sustainability coordinates many student-led efforts on campus to help K-State become more sustainable. Initiatives students can get involved in include:
- Recycling in campus buildings, residence halls, and dining centers;
- Helping campus become more friendly to biking and other alternative modes of transportation;
- Reducing energy consumption in campus buildings and in the residence halls;
- Reducing food waste in the residence halls;
- and many more!
Sustainability at K-State is about harnessing the power of people to protect our natural resources and respond to future campus needs at the same time, while acting in a financially responsible way. Opportunities to get involved in such efforts are everywhere at K-State!
