MEETING MINUTES FOR MARCH 30TH

-Roll Call: Caleb, Mallory, Mike, Jessica (of AISES), Billie, Angela, Cameron and Georgia
-Joining us at 5 p.m. Dr. Myra Gordon, Vice-Provost for Diversity and AISES Advisor Laverne Baldwin (Navajo)
-CARRY OVER FROM LAST WEEK: Mallory to be added to listserv memcginn@ksu.edu

-Scheduled time allocations for Chief Wilma Mankiller's visit this Friday. Members needed for breakfast with Chief Mankiller, Lunch, and to show people around for her 3:30 presentation

-Billie and Georgia will be available throughout Chief Mankiller's visit, please contact them at gnonte@ksu.edu or twodogs@ksu.edu

-Mike agreed to do posters for heritage day on Monday April 6th, he and Georgia will coordinate on this issue.

-Dr. Gordon provided the official adgenda for Chief Mankillers visit.

-Dr. Gordon informed the group that Jay Hannah will be sending some artifacts for a group of three tables to be set up during Chief Mankillers visit. She encouraged Georgia and the group members to bring any regalia they had to add to the exhibit.

-Dr. Gordon said she would be able to distribute flyers for Monday's Native American Heritage day along with the info she will be distributing about Wilma Mankillers visit if we would send her a digital copy when we had the posters completed.

Mrs. Baldwin informed the group she would be happy to sing an Honor Song for Wilma Mankiller after the 3:30 presentation on Friday.

***NEW NEWS
-Billie brought up that Dr. Hannah is wanting us to recruit, discussion postponed due to current events, to be discussed in the future.

-Billie will be attending the K-State Salina portion of Chief Mankiller's visit, all are encouraged to visit. Events will run from 9:30-2:00 Dr. Gordon informed us.

-Billie confirmed Haskell Powwow is in process and forms have been submitted, Cameron is now van certified if we choose to take a van.

-Shirts were handed out for the events this weekend

-Plaque for Dr. Mankiller was displayed and the group was eager to see it given to her.

***ELECTIONS HELD
-Billie nominated and accepted as President
-Cameron nominated and accepted as Vice-President
-Cailee nominated and accepted as Secretary
-Dawn nominated and accepted as Treasurer
-Georgia nominated and accepted as Historian
-Mike nominated for an additional positiion not yet confirmed pending constitutional changes as Public Relations
