Teaching Logs

While tutoring (giving lessons) the apprentices are required to complete a teaching log for each lesson given. At mid-term and the end of the semester, the apprentice turns in the completed logs at a meeting with the music instructor and reflects upon what they learned as a teacher. Shadowing a Teacher

The shadowing a teacher provides the apprentices with valuable experience that prepares them for majoring in music and becoming a music teacher.  The apprentice helps the director by providing assistance with administrative tasks, sectionals, and other instructional duties involved in teaching. | See list of responbilitiies | View evaluation form | Download evaluation form.
