Dr. Anna Marie Wytko, whose artistry has been described by distinguished Paris composer-pianist Roger Boutry as “brilliant – great sensitivity – exceptional color and vivid contrasts,” is Assistant Professor of Saxophone, Chamber Music, and Music Theory Music at Kansas State University. A Yamaha Performing Artist-Clinician and endorser of E. Rousseau Mouthpieces, Dr. Wytko has performed throughout the United States, Europe, Canada and Mexico. She has presented guest artist concerto performances with orchestra throughout England and Scotland and has performed as soloist with the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra, the American Band College Wind Ensemble (OR), Colorado Mesa University Wind Ensemble, the Symphony of the West Valley (AZ), the Encore Wind Ensemble (MN), and numerous KSU ensembles, for example. Dr. Wytko presented an international premiere at World Saxophone XVI in Scotland in July 2012, and has appeared as featured guest artist clinician-soloist for the Iowa Bandmasters Association and the Kansas Music Educators Association. She also appeared as featured guest at the IV Miedzynarodowy Festiwal Saksofonowy in Poland. Dr. Wytko released a new solo CD titled When night came.... which is available through her website (see link below). She will perform as guest soloist with the Topeka Symphony Orchestra in October 2012.
