Reginald Pittman teaches voice, directs the opera program and serves as Head of the Voice Division. He serves as advisor to the K-State Opera Guild and Friends of K-State Opera. Dr. Pittman is the director of the Flint Hills Masterworks Chorale. As director and soloist, the Chorale has performed in Budapest, Hungary, Austria and Prague in the Czech Republic. He served as Resident Artist with the Wichita Grand Opera from 2003-2008. His WGO credits have included Don Jose in Carmen, Arturo ii Lucia di Lammermoor, Benvolio in Romeo and Juliette, Parpignol in La Bohème and soloist in the Stars of Kansas Gala Concert. He’s also performed leading roles with the opera companies Des Moines, San Diego, Arizona, New Orleans, Shreveport, Dallas, Mississippi and Lyric Opera of Dallas. Dr. Pittman has been invited to sing at the National Opera Association’s National Convention for the past four years. He serves on the Board of Directors for the West Central National Association of Teachers of Singers as past auditions chair and the National Opera Association as Governor of the West Central Region. |
