Dr. Joshua Oppenheim Co-Director of Choral Activities |

Joshua Oppenheim co-teaches Collegiate Chorale, Concert Choir, Graduate and Undergraduate Conducting, University Choir, In-a-Chord, K-State Singers, and Mens Glee Club, University Choir, Choral Methods, Choral Ensemble Techniques, and Advanced Choral Rehearsal Techniques. As Co-Director of Choral Studies, he oversees seven choral ensembles, courses in Music Education, and Choral Conducting courses. He is also Co-Director of the KSU Summer Choral Institute. His choirs have been selected to perform at the New York School Music Association Conference (2008), Kansas Music Educators Association Conference (2009) and the American Festival of Music in 2009 (Vienna, Austria and Prague, Czech Republic) and 2011 (Italy). He has also conducted and served as adjudicator for honor choirs and festivals in Texas, New York, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Mississippi. He has presented interest sessions at state and regional conferences of the American Choral Directors Association in California, Colorado, Connecticut, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Utah. His service to Kansas State University has included positions on the Course and Curriculum Committee, Phi Mu Alpha Faculty Advisor, and American Choral Directors Association Student Chapter Advisor. |
