“In last night’s production the star was Dale Ganz. He was the most polished performer—a wry comic actor, and the possessor of a warm flexible voice.”

–The Washington Post

“Ganz was outstanding in the vocal characterization of a perplexed old man and in his masterly acting of an impossibly difficult role.”–The Washington Times

“Dale Ganz was particularly effective; his ample voice explored in masterly fashion the shading of the bass-baritone role.” –Musical America
