Scholarship
Mortar Board was founded on the three ideals of
scholarship, leadership, and service. Below are highlights of
the chapter's dedication to scholarship.
Dedicating time and talent to promote scholarship within our chapter and among The Kansas State community continues to be a priority for the scholarship team. Each fall, Mortar Board honors K-State faculty, staff and advisors at the annual Faculty Recognition Reception. The 2011 Faculty Reception honorees were:

One of the goals of the scholarship committee is to annually award to juniors demonstrating exemplary scholarship, leadership and service. Mortar Board members review the scholarship applications and interview the finalists. The 2011-2012 scholarship winners are:

Additionally, each January, Mortar Board hosts the Kansas Academic Decathlon, a two-day event in which high schoolers from across the state of Kansas compete in a variety of academic events.
