Mortar Board was founded on the three ideals of scholarship, leadership, and service. Below are highlights of the chapter's dedication to leadership.
It is the function of the Leadership Team to be an active part of the 2008-2009 Mortar Board chapter. We strive to contribute meaningful educational and leadership opportunities for members, as well as K-State students, while promoting and maintaining Mortar Board's reputation and traditions.
In late September, the team hosts "Free-for-All." Free-for-All showcases the free services and opportunities offered to students on campus. 2008 is the third year for the event.
At the beginning of the holiday season, an all leadership honoraries service project was organized. Volunteers from Blue Key, Chimes Junior Honorary, and Silver Key Sophomore Honorary rang bells for the Salvation Army to raise support in the Manhattan and K-State Community.
During National Mortar Board Week, February 15-21, 2009, we will sponsor a number of events.
