The Director serves as a liaison for all MEP Engineering student organizations and as faculty advisor to the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and acting advisor for both the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE) and the American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES).  All of the organizations do a spectacular job in addressing the special needs of their populations.

With generous support of various corporate sponsors, K-State's student organizations are able to attend regional and national conferences, plan activities and programs for the upcoming year, and promote the goals of their student organization. Several K-State students also received national recognition in the form of scholarships from their respective societies. The previous year was very rewarding for our student organizations:
