MORE THAN 200 EMPLOYERS COMING TO K-STATE'S ALL-UNIVERSITY CAREER FAIR SEPT. 22-23

MANHATTAN -- Despite a struggling economy, more than 200 employers are registered to participate in the All-University Career Fair from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, and Wednesday, Sept. 23, at Kansas State University's Bramlage Coliseum.

The All-University Career Fair is geared toward K-State students, but is also open to members of the Manhattan community.

ConocoPhillips, Perceptive Software and GTM Sportswear are among the employers who will attend the fair. A full list of participating employers is available at http://www.k-state.edu/ces and selecting "My Student Account." After logging in, select the "Career Fairs and Events" tab and then the "Career Fair" tab to get an up-to-date list of registered employers.

With increasing job competition, it is important that career fair attendees dress professionally and bring multiple copies of their resume, according to Dottie Evans, associate director of employer and university relations for K-State career and employment services.

Qualified candidates may be offered an interview after visiting employers at the career fair. Next-day interviews will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 23 and 24 in the K-State Student Union's Ballroom.

A shuttle bus will run between the Union and Bramlage Coliseum every 20 minutes. The shuttle will begin service at 10:45 a.m. and continue until 4 p.m. both days of the fair.

K-State career and employment services is premiering a program for students who may not have funds to purchase professional attire. The Career Closet will be available Sept. 17-18. More information is available at http://www.k-state.edu/ces
