PANEL DISCUSSION TO ADDRESS RACIAL PROFILING AS PART OF K-STATE'S DOROTHY L. THOMPSON CIVIL RIGHTS LECTURE SERIES
MANHATTAN -- Three judges from the Kansas Court of Appeals will join civic leaders and the former deputy director of the Kansas Bureau of Investigation for a discussion of racial profiling as part of Kansas State University's Dorothy L. Thompson Civil Rights Lecture Series.
The free event will be at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, in Forum Hall at the K- State Student Union.
Panelists will include Nancy Caplinger, Henry Green and Richard Greene of the Kansas Court of Appeals; Danielle Dempsey-Swopes, executive director of the Kansas African American Affairs Commission; and Steve Cisneros, executive director of the Kansas Hispanic and Latino American Affairs Commission.
Kyle Smith, former deputy director of the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, will moderate.
