C-SPAN'S CAMPAIGN 2008 BUS COMING TO K-STATE
MANHATTAN -- The C-SPAN Campaign 2008 Bus is making a stop at Kansas State University.
The bus, a 45-foot mobile production studio, will be at K-State from noon to 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, near the southeast corner of Ahearn Field House. C-SPAN is using the bus as a way to promote and enhance its coverage of the 2008 presidential elections, and to provide educational programs for teachers and students.
The stop at K-State is being sponsored by C-SPAN and Cox Communications.
"Cox Communications is proud to partner with C-SPAN to provide educational resources about the 2008 presidential elections to K-State," said Kimberly Edmunds, Cox Kansas/Arkansas region vice president.
The bus has an election-themed exterior design. Its interior modifications allow for the latest in television production equipment. The bus has been to 52 cities -- including 16 state capitols -- in 27 states since January.
"As the political network of record, we're excited to offer a variety of resources for educators, students, first-time voters and the general public as part of our extensive coverage of the 2008 presidential elections," said Heath Neiderer, C-SPAN representative.
