LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE STUDENT TAKES PART IN DIY NETWORK'S 'TURF WAR'
MANHATTAN -- A Kansas State University student will be in tonight's episode of DIY Network's "Turf War." The cable channel show starts at 7 p.m.
Katy Molaskey, a third-year landscape architecture student from St. Louis, Mo., was invited by Mary Deweese, a St. Louis landscape architect, to serve on her team. In "Turf War," two teams battle to come up with the best backyard makeover. The episode, filmed over two days in the summer, takes place in two backyards in the St. Louis suburb of O'Fallon, Mo.
Molaskey said she got to do a little bit of everything in the makeover, including lots of heaving lifting and making some design decisions.
"I met some amazing people during this experience, and I'm glad I got to share those two days with them," Molaskey said. "I want to thank Mary for the opportunity, and I can't wait to see how the show turned out."
