WILFRIED WANG COMING TO LECTURE AT K-STATE
MANHATTAN -- Architect and educator Wilfried Wang is coming to Kansas State University's College of Architecture, Planning and Design to present "St. Petri Church, Klippan by Sigurd Lewerentz: The Transcendence of Architecture." Wang will speak at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, in the Little Theater at the K-State Student Union.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
Wang is the O'Neil Ford Centennial Professor in Architecture at the University of Texas at Austin, as well as co-founder of Hoidn Wang Partners, Berlin, Germany. He also is co-editor of the O'Neil Ford Monographs, the O'Neil Ford Duographs and the German government's annual architectural journal Building and Space.
Wang has published or contributed to several books on 20th-century architecture, including some featuring the work of Lewerentz.
Attendance at the lecture can be submitted as continuing education credit. The lecture is supported by the K-State student fine arts fee.
