K-STATE THEATER TO PRESENT 'MEMORY OF WATER' IN PURPLE MASQUE THEATER

MANHATTAN -- The theater program at Kansas State University will present the play "Memory of Water" at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 6-8 in East Stadium's Purple Masque Theater.

Plays presented in the Purple Masque theater are performed, directed and produced by K-State theater students.

"Memory of Water" was written by Shelagh Stephenson and tells the hilarious yet tragic story of three daughters and their relationship with their deceased mother and with one another. The story is constructed around the death of the mother, Vi. At the height of a snowstorm, Vi's three daughters have gathered at the family home to arrange her funeral. While there, they share memories that help the sisters handle the loss of their mother and come to terms with their own lives.

Tickets are $4 for students and children and $7 for the general public. Tickets are on sale at the McCain Auditorium box office from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. They also may be purchased from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. weekdays at the K-State Student Union's Little Theater box office. Tickets also can be ordered by phone at 785-532-6428 during McCain box office hours.
