K-STATE LIBRARIES OPEN STUDENT UNION OUTPOST
MANHATTAN -- Library Help on the Go is a new satellite reference station of Kansas State University's K-State Libraries. It is available to the K-State community and the general public for assistance with their research and information needs.
The service, available from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays and Wednesdays on the first floor of the K-State Student Union near the food court, is being offered on a one-on-one basis by faculty and staff from the K-State Libraries through Dec. 12.
"With technology changing as quickly as our patrons' needs, I think Library Help on the Go is an excellent service for patrons to remind them that K-State Libraries are where they are: in Hale Library, at one of the branch libraries, in the Union or accessible through our virtual reference services," said Melia Erin Fritch, reference generalist at K-State Libraries and one of the developers of the service.
Individuals stopping by Library Help on the Go can access library resources online, receive help with research strategies, and discover information about other K-State Libraries services.
"We see developing services like Library Help on the Go as central to K-State Libraries' mission," said Lori A. Goetsch, dean of K-State Libraries, "We're committed to working to meet our community's needs, wherever or whenever those needs might arise.
