K-STATE'S LAFENE HEALTH CENTER TO HOLD 18th ANNUAL HEALTH FAIR NOV. 5
MANHATTAN -- Lafene Health Center's 18th annual campus health fair, "Fiesta of Health," will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, in the K-State Student Union courtyard at Kansas State University.
The health fair is co-sponsored by the Student Health Advisory Committee, which works to increase student awareness of health services available at K-State.
"The annual health fair is an excellent opportunity for the university community to receive health information in a fun-filled atmosphere, as well as become more aware of the health care services and programs available at Lafene," said Lannie Zweimiller, the health center's director.
In addition to learning about the health services available to them at K-State, students can meet the physicians, nurses and other professional staff from Lafene. Students will learn about health issues pertinent to them and have the opportunity to ask health-related questions outside of the health center environment.
Students attending the health fair will have the opportunity to win prizes such as Country Stampede tickets, a football signed by coach Ron Prince, gift certificates and more. The information tables at the health fair also will have giveaways and prizes for students.
The flu vaccine will be available to all K-State students, faculty, staff and their family members who are 18 years or older at the health fair. Cost of the vaccine is $14 for students and $19 for faculty, staff and family members.
