K-STATE'S MCCAIN PERFORMANCE SERIES PRESENTS 'BABES IN TOYLAND'
MANHATTAN -- Kansas State University's McCain Performance Series will present Victor Herbert's musical "Babes in Toyland" at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, in McCain Auditorium.
Set at the turn of the 20th century, "Babes in Toyland" mixes reality and fantasy into a show for the entire family.
Individual tickets cost $12 to $28. Tickets may be ordered by calling the McCain box office at 785-532-6428 between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays. Tickets may also be purchased online at http://www.k-state.edu/mccain
A pre-performance activity, "Kids, Cookies and Crafts," will be offered from 6-7 p.m. at K-State's Marianna Kistler Beach Museum of Art. The event is free and open to all children and the public. Origami, face painting and story-telling activities will be available for children. Kumiko Nakamura, a K-State Japanese instructor, will lead the origami lessons; Linda Uthoff, Manhattan High School drama department, will lead the face-painting activity; and Richard Pitts, Manhattan, will lead the story telling.
