NINE
STUDENTS JOIN K-STATE'S HUMAN ECOLOGY HONORS PROGRAM
MANHATTAN -- Nine students have recently joined the College of Human
Ecology Honors Program at Kansas State University.
Current
students with a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher
are eligible for the program. Students participating in the program
must maintain a 3.5 cumulative grade point average, successfully
complete two semesters of service-learning research, teaching, extension
or administration, and complete an honors project for two or three
credit hours during their junior or senior year.
Students
in the program benefit from having the opportunity to interact with
faculty and graduate students for information about research, graduate
study and careers, while also attending special courses and lectures.
New
students in the honors program include:
Genna
Gehrt, sophomore in nutritional sciences and premedicine, Alma.
From
Greater Kansas City: Sarah Bever, sophomore in apparel and textiles,
Overland Park; Ashley Mullins, junior in family studies and
human services and pre-nursing, Roeland Park; and Lindsey
Wilson, junior in family studies and human services-family life
and community services, and Spanish, Stilwell.
Rachael
Barnett, junior in communication sciences and disorders, Hutchinson;
Linette Ngaba, junior in dietetics and public health nutrition,
and Challey Stephens, junior in communication sciences and disorders,
both of Manhattan; Martha Schneider, sophomore in food science
and industry, nutritional sciences and premedicine, Smolan;
and Jennifer Tarman, junior in family studies and human services-family
life and community services, Wichita.
