GARDEN CITY AREA HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS INVITED TO SPEND A SPECIAL EVENING WITH K-STATE

MANHATTAN -- Kansas State University is inviting high school students from the Garden City area, as well as their parents and friends, to learn more about K-State.

"An Evening with K-State" will be 6-7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4, at St. Dominic's Catholic Church, 615 JC St., Garden City. Pat Bosco, associate vice president for institutional advancement and dean of student life at K-State, will attend.

Kari Nap, K-State admissions representative, said the evening is for all students, whether they've already been admitted to K-State and are just trying to finalize their decision or if they're just starting to explore their options for after graduation.

"You and your parents will meet other students considering K-State and learn about opportunities for academic study and extracurricular involvement on campus," Nap said. "We also will answer all of your questions about K-State, including about residence life, scholarships, the admissions process and more."

Refreshments will be available and prizes will be given away.

To make reservations or to get more information about "An Evening with K-State," call Nap toll-free at 1-800-432-8270 or e-mail krier@k-state.edu. Be sure to include your name, high school, year in school, address, home phone number, e-mail address and names of any guests and their intended majors.
