K-STATE
ADDS NEW DEGREE AND CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS TO ITS VARIETY OF DISTANCE
EDUCATION OFFERINGS
MANHATTAN
-- Kansas State University is adding to the variety of distance
education programs it offers to adults who want to complete their
education, further their careers or change professions.
K-State now offers eight bachelor's degree completion programs,
16 master's degree programs and 16 certificate programs through
distance education.
Recently
added degree and certificate programs are business administration
and organizational leadership, as well as elementary education,
which will be offered in southwest Kansas. K-State distance education
also will offer applied statistics and public administration for
the first time in spring 2007.

The public administration program will cover the general principles
of public administration, including budgeting, personnel, public
organization theory and research methods.

The applied statistics program is focused on the use of numerical
measurements to help forecast sales, analyze business conditions,
help solve management problems to maximize profits and develop new
products and procedures.
*
The business administration certificate will cover basic business
knowledge.
*
The organizational leadership certificate will prepare students
to be effective leaders for their business's teams at all organizational
levels.

Kansas will be available in the future.
