K-STATE'S KSDB-FM SELECTS NEW MANAGEMENT TEAM

MANHATTAN -- The KSDB-FM Advisory Board has selected the station's new management team for the coming summer term and the 2007-2008 academic year.

KSDB-FM, Kansas State University's student radio station, is the oldest continually operating FM station in Kansas.

"Since 1949, KSDB-FM has helped mold the professional careers of many K-State mass communications students who, today, are some of the region's leading media professionals," said Steve Smethers, associate professor of journalism and mass communications at K-State and chair of the KSDB-FM Advisory Board. "So many of our alumni learned leadership skills from participating in the management of this station's operation."

Kathryn Orlowski, sophomore in advertising, Mission Hills, will serve as the station's underwriting/sales director for the next academic year. She has been the assistant director of the department this year.

Jon-Charles Armstrong, senior in agricultural communications and journalism, Muscotah, was selected as the station's program director for fall 2007 and spring 2008. Armstrong has worked in several departments at KSDB-FM in the past year and will be completing an internship this summer on the Sean Hannity Radio Show on WABC in New York.

Montreal Devine, junior in social sciences, Wichita, will be the station's summer 2007 program director. He has been serving as director of the station's urban music programming this semester.

Aaron Leiker, graduate student in journalism and mass communications, Holly, Colo., has served as acting station manager for the past two years and will remain in that capacity through July 31.

Loren Seeger, graduate student in journalism and mass communications, Houston, Texas, will become the station's manager beginning Aug. 1.
