K-STATE MAKING SPECIAL ARRANGEMENTS FOR STUDENTS IMPACTED BY STORMS

MANHATTAN -- It is finals week at Kansas State University, but for many students exams are not at the top of their list of concerns.

"We have a number of students from the Greensburg, Kan., area," said Pat Bosco, associate vice president for institutional advancement and dean of student life. "In addition to those impacted by the weekend tornado, students from other parts of the state have been affected by flooding."

In response, K-State's student life office is available to assist students by contacting their professors to make accommodations for finals.

Carla Jones, assistant vice president and senior associate dean of student life, said people in her office will e-mail students from Kiowa County to coordinate any assistance they may need during finals week. All students who need assistance are asked to contact the student life office by phone at 785-532-6432 or e-mail stulife@k-state.edu.
