K-STATE'S COLLEGE OF VETERINARY MEDICINE STUDENTS EARN AWARDS AT ANNUAL HONORS BANQUET
MANHATTAN -- The College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University recognized its class of 2007 at the college's recent annual honors banquet
The scholarships and awards were presented to members of the outgoing senior class who have achieved excellence in academics, leadership and specialty areas of study.
"Although the scholarship support is greatly appreciated by our students as the cost of education continues to rise, just as important is the recognition of work well done during our annual honors banquet," said Ronnie Elmore, associate dean of academic affairs at the College of Veterinary Medicine.
"In addition to recognizing our students during our honors banquet, many of our fourth-year student scholarships honor previous faculty members, college friends, and alumni," he said. "Our honors banquet is truly a celebration of past accomplishments and an anticipation of future productive careers."
The fourth-year veterinary medicine students and their awards include:
Candace Jacobson, Abilene, American Royal Award; Jesica Martin, Cherokee, American College of Veterinary Ophthalmologists Award; Jennifer Antholz, Derby, Pet Trust Award; James Clark, Girard, Dr. Wayne and Druecillia Burch Memorial Award and Dr. J. Sidney Michum Memorial Award.
