BILINGUAL
CAMPUS WALKING TOUR, MULTICULTURAL RECEPTION PART OF K-STATE'S ALL-UNIVERSITY
OPEN HOUSE APRIL 14 IN MANHATTAN
MANHATTAN
-- Future college students and their families can check out
what life at Kansas State University is all about at K-State's All-University
Open House, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 14, in Manhattan.
Open
house is a chance to explore academic opportunities and student
life at K-State through tours, interactive displays and games. Open
house also offers food and entertainment, including the Kansas City
Marching Cobras drill team, which will perform at noon on the Bosco
Plaza outside the K-State Student Union.
K-State
will have a multicultural reception for prospective students and
their families from 11 a.m. to noon in the Bluemont Room at the
Union. Visitors can meet other students and campus representatives
from admissions, financial aid, housing and academic departments.
Walking
tours of campus will be available every half hour, starting from
the admissions booth at the Union. The 1 p.m. tour will be offered
in both English and Spanish.
In
buildings across campus, K-State's colleges and academic departments
will have information about the more than 250 majors offered at
K-State. Prospective students can take a free assessment to see
which careers -- and K-State majors -- suit them. Assessments
are offered every hour beginning at 10 a.m. in 14 Holton Hall.
