K-STATE STUDENTS NAMED TO INTERNATIONAL LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE HONOR SOCIETY
MANHATTAN -- Academic excellence has earned 10 landscape architecture students from Kansas State University membership into Sigma Lambda Alpha, the international landscape architecture honor society.
The honor society encourages, recognizes and rewards excellence in preparation for the profession of landscape architecture. Membership is for juniors and seniors with at least a 3.2 grade point average, and graduate students who have completed at least one-third of their degree credit requirements, have at least a 3.5 grade point average and rank in the upper 35 percent of their class.
New Sigma Lambda Alpha members at K-State, all landscape architecture majors, include:
Kyle Grist, May 2008 bachelor's graduate, Andover; Jay Knopf, May 2008 bachelor's graduate, Gypsum; Sean Ray, May 2008 bachelor's graduate, Hutchinson; Ethan Primm, May 2008 bachelor's graduate, and Brett Tagtmeyer, graduate student, both of Manhattan; Desmond Poirer, graduate student, Mission; Timothy Merklein, senior, Prairie View; and Nolan Miller, May 2008 bachelor's graduate, Topeka.
