K-STATE ACCEPTING REGISTRATIONS FOR 24TH ANNUAL ACADEMIC CHAIRPERSONS CONFERENCE

MANHATTAN -- "Academic Leadership: Building Responsive and Responsible Communities" is the theme of the 24th annual Academic Chairpersons Conference, Feb. 7-9, at the Florida Hotel and Conference Center in Orlando, Fla.

The conference is designed to unite academic chairpersons, administrators and faculty and to share the most successful, innovative ideas and strategies that assist them in becoming even more efficient. Activities will include workshops, speakers, and presentations.

The conference is sponsored by K-State's IDEA -- Individual Development and Educational Assessment -- Center, which also is the host of the 2007 IDEA Seminar, "Motivating Students to Learn," Feb. 25-27, in San Antonio, Texas. The seminar focuses on the factors that affect student motivation and how to enable change.
