K-STATE AT SALINA ESTABLISHES BRIDGE PROGRAM FOR AVIATION STUDENTS
SALINA -- Kansas State University at Salina recently announced a new bridge program to put students on a fast track to becoming pilots with Mesaba Airlines.
The partnership will offer students who complete required courses an interview with Mesaba. Applicants who successfully complete the interview process may be granted a conditional offer of employment based on the airline's needs.
"This bridge agreement with Mesaba is an excellent avenue for our flight students to connect with a quality airline," said Kurt Barnhart, professor and head of the department of aviation at K-State at Salina.
The agreement the first of its kind for K-State at Salina.
"It is common knowledge that getting the right job is all about connections, and this builds a solid connection between K-State at Salina and Mesaba," Barnhart said.
