K-STATE'S
CENTER FOR ENGAGEMENT AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TO HAVE OPEN HOUSE
MARCH 9
MANHATTAN
-- An open house for Kansas State University's new Center for Engagement
and Community Development will be 3-5 p.m. Friday, March 9, at the
center, 202 Ahearn Field House.
The
event is open to the public and is an opportunity to find out more
about the center.
Launched
in 2006, K-State's Center for Engagement and Community Development
was created to promote engagement on and off campus in teaching,
research and outreach, and to apply K-State expertise on issues
of community development across Kansas.
"The
Center for Engagement and Community Development is a place where
university faculty and community leaders can come together to address
community challenges, meet community needs and realize community
dreams through effective scholarship-based engagement," said
David Procter, the center's director.
