SALINA -- Kansas State University at Salina students will be able to check out a variety of job and educational opportunities at the I-135 Opportunities Expo, an annual career fair.

This year's expo, which will play host to both local and regional employers, will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 27, in the Recreation Center at K-State at Salina. Nearly 50 employers and representatives from graduate programs will be on hand.

"This is a great chance for any student to investigate just how many career opportunities there are during and after college," said Lucy Kollhoff, coordinator of career services at K-State at Salina. "The expo is a one-stop shop for employers and students."

Employers schedule to attend include: American Eagle Airlines, Black & Veatch, Buckle, Cabela's, Cessna Aircraft, Cleveland Chiropractic College, Delta Air Lines, Garmin International, Geoprobe Systems, Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center, Kansas Highway Patrol, Philips Lighting Company, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, Sunflower Bank, Tradehome Shoes and the U.S. Army Recruiting Command. Representatives of graduate school programs from some of the state's universities also will be available. A full listing of participants is available at http://135expo.mcpherson.edu/

Employers will be interviewing, so students should wear business professional attire and bring several copies of their resume.

K-State at Salina is working with a consortium of colleges to bring the event to Salina. The institutions include Kansas Wesleyan University, Bethany College, McPherson College, Tabor College, Sterling College and Bethel College.
