NEW
COPYING SERVICES COMING TO K-STATE'S HALE LIBRARY
MANHATTAN
-- Kansas State University's Hale Library will soon be providing
digital scanners for use by library patrons.
The
move comes as K-State printing services will be closing its copy
center in Hale Library and consolidating its copy services at its
K-State Student Union location. The copy center at Hale Library
will close at 5 p.m. Thursday, March 9.
In
order to continue providing high-quality, convenient copying services
inside the library, the digital scanners will be installed.
With
the scanners, library patrons will be able to scan library materials
for free and have the option of either saving the resulting files
to a flash drive or e-mailing them. Scanners will be available in
three locations in the library, and staff members will be available
to help patrons who require training or assistance during normal
service hours.
The
library will retain coin-operated copiers on the first, second and
third floors for patrons who need or prefer physical copies. Additionally,
full-service copying from K-State printing services, including course
packs and large copies, will continue to be available at the K-State
Student Union location.
