BRINGING EMPLOYERS IN LAW ENFORCEMENT, SOCIAL SERVICES TO CAMPUS
FOR CAREER FAIR MARCH 6
MANHATTAN
-- Kansas State University students from all areas of study
will have the chance to meet with employers in the law enforcement
and social service fields about jobs and internships.
The Criminology and Social Services Career Fair will be 9 a.m. to
2 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, at the K-State Student Union ballroom.
Students from all majors are invited to meet with employers about
internships and career opportunities with police departments, social
and behavioral health services and criminal justice agencies. Students
nearing graduation can bring copies of their resumes, but students
of all classification are invited to attend.
"We
would like for students to stop by and ask questions and gather
information from the different agencies, even if they do not have
any certain plans for a career," said Roy Barnett, instructor
of sociology.
The
fair is sponsored by the K-State Criminology Club, K-State career
and employment services and K-State's department of sociology, anthropology
and social work.
Criminology
Club members involved in organizing the fair include:
Lindsay
Hicks, senior in psychology, Emporia; Christopher Berger,
senior in sociology, Manhattan; and Ashley Horner, senior
in sociology, and Claire Markey, junior in sociology, both of Overland
Park.
From
out-of-state: Rachel Bronfman, senior in sociology, Raytown,
Mo.
