K-STATE'S LAFENE HEALTH CENTER RECEIVES ADDITIONAL FLU VACCINE

MANHATTAN -- Lafene Health Center at Kansas State University has received an additional supply of flu vaccine. The vaccine will be available to spouses and adult children of faculty, staff and students.

The vaccine, according to the manufacturer, can only be administered to individuals who are 18 or older.

The cost for spouses and children of faculty, staff and students is $19 for the vaccine in the injectable form and $35 for the nasal mist vaccine; however, those who would like the nasal vaccine should check eligibility requirements to receive the vaccine at http://www.cdc.gov/flu/

Those wishing to receive the vaccine should check in at Lafene's front desk. The vaccine is available on a walk-in basis; no appointment is necessary.

Flu vaccine continues to be available to K-State students. The cost is $14 for the injectable vaccine and $30 for the nasal mist. The vaccine is available through Lafene's immunization clinics from 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 1-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
